Need Help Trouble Shooting 1990 525i

I'm having problems with my car sometimes when you start to give it gas to pull out or take off it want hardly go and you have to hold the gas pedel on the floor and then it starts to pick up and then smoothes out!It don't do it all the time.

What Scott is getting at is it could be any number of things and if you can help isolate the condition and or the repair attempts you have made we can make better SWAG's (Scientific Wild A$$ Guesses). Start with the obvious, has anything changed since she ran properly, like when was the last tune up, last time the fuel filter was changed, injectors cleaned, etc.

M50? M20? How often does this happen? Aside from basic maintainance, anything new under the hood? Ever T/S ignition coils?
