I have a 2003 M3 convertible with 35K miles. Occasionally when making a hard left turn under acceleration, there is a slight rubbing sound coming from the right rear. I am at factory ride hight and don't think it is tire rub. Does anyone have any thoughts??

I thought it might be from the diff but since I am new to the BMW world, I thought I'd ask. Is it difficult to change the fluid myself or should I have it done?? Thanks

I haven't done it on an M yet, but I have on other cars. It's pretty simple, just drain and replace with the new fluid.

One las thing I just thought of is that you should periodically do figure-eight's in parking lots. This is supposed to be a good practice to keep the rear diff in good shape.
