Hey I'm new to bmwboard but my reason for inquiry is in regard to my 2002 Bmw 525i. My lease on the car will come to an end this Janurary, and I'm debating over whether or not to continue leasing this car, buy it, or lease a new 2005 530i. I have heard that the pre-Bangle five series is capable of exceeding 250,000 miles. I already have 45000 miles on it. However, the 525i is quite underpowered and I'm more than willing to upgrade to the new model even with its styling flaws. If anyone could help me out here it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

From what I hear all the time the E39 is quite good, I wouldnt keep the car you have because you have a 525i, which is underpowered a lot.. I would get a used 2003 540i with sports package, now thats a beauty. I dont know weather you would like the new e60 5 series, its still good but the iDrive may annoy you..
