I have a 2002 530i with DSP premium sound, single CD player in dash, no CD changer and no nav. I am looking for an aux audio input for an MP3 player (Zen V). I believe that there is no OEM adaptor for this particular configuration (which uses a coax cable to the CD changer connector in the trunk), so I have found 3 after-market options:
1. Dice Silverline ipod adaptor with extra aux input (about $230). These units can be problematic, from web postings I have seen.
2. US Spec PA12BMWDSP (about $190). A fairly new item, so I am interested in hearing about experiences of others.
3. EAS aux audio input (head unit mounted, I think), sold by European Auto Source ($155).
Please tell me about your experiences with these or other options.
