Hello,

I have a 2001 530i that just bought. The car has 20000 miles and looks to be in great shape. The last couple of days the battery is almost dead in the AM [thumbd] . I have an appointment tomorrow to have it looked at. Should the battery be covered under the factory warranty? I was told the warranty is still in effect untill 9/04 or 50000 miles.

Another thing, the the climate control fan that operates after the car has been shut off. I have read the manual to see how to shut it off. The manual is vague and I can't seem to shut it off. I find this fan thing most annoying [mad] and would like it shut it off after I turn the car off.

Also, for some reason this car did not come with a factory CD changer in the trunk. It says its wired for it, but the wires I see are for the phone(these wires look like coax wire). Where are the wires for the CD? I found the power wire but am not able to locate the main wires to operate the changer....any ideas?

Thanks for the help..... [cheers]

Hello,
I have a opposite problem with the fan(I suposse the front one from the A/C.), on my 523 i from 1998, he simply does not work after the starting of the engine with A/C on. I check the presostat, located behind the right front light. This el. device is giving an elecrtic power to the fan in 3 stages(3 speeds) He should go off after few secons when you get off the engine. This presostat is measuring the internal press of the fluid (134A) in the A/C. According to the temp. he is controlling the speed of the fan on the A/C. In mu case because of malfunction of the fan( the presostat was ok) the overpumping is hapened to the compresor and he is producing a noise lake a metal grinding.
regards,
Balaburski
