Help with codes...

I got a service engine soon light pop up the other night and it disappeared after two days.

I received my Peaske Research R5/FCX-II and checked to see f any codes were stored and there were three. On table OF I pulled code 8C: Map controlled thermostat circuit/control, 1A: "Mixture Control, off idle, Cyl #1-4" and A4: Ambient pressure sensor.

Now I need some help figuring out what all that means...
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

And if anyone in the Atlanta area would like to pull some codes, please feel free to email me and I will meet up with you somewhere.

TIA,
Ron

I cleared the codes twice now and there are back. I have spoken with the local bmw dealer (global imports) and they said that it will probably be covered under CPO. I would still like to get a better idea of what is going on before I head in there, so any help would be appreciated.

TIA.

the map cooling is the electric t stat put on in as for the other code while running off idle the fuel mixture is off either to rich or to lean and that could be anything from a vacuum leak to a bad injector you have to know if to rich or to lean

Is there anyway to find out whether it is an injector? Which injector? Could different grades of gas cause this? What about a "injector cleaner" additive for the gas...Any thoughts?
