New Computer for 95 540

My 95 540 with 175,000 miles evidently needs a new computer. Remember, I've been having oxygen sensor problems, but now we have new codes (201, 203, and 13). I'm told those are oxygen sensor controllers and most likely require a new computer ($1600). [thumbd] Anyone have other suggestions/options? I may just sell this car one part at a time on eBay.

Here's the update

Turned out to be the catalytic convertors. I googled BMW of Nashville and saw a link to an independent mechanic at a citysearch site. He had excellent reviews from other BMW owners, so I had it towed there. After running the scan, he changed the plugs which were all fouled due to the cats being burned up and causing the car to run very rich. He disconnected the cats and the car ran great--sounded like a tractor, but ran great. He put new cats on and this car screams.

One of the guys at the shop (not the head mechanic) said he had read where BMW only made about 400 of these '95 540 with 6-speed manual transmissions. Can anyone confirm or deny this or tell me where to look to find this info?
